At Ride-Share.com, we hold ourselves to a clear editorial standard. Every article published on this site goes through a defined research and review process before it reaches you.
How We Research
Our content is built on three sources of information:
Firsthand experience. We use the platforms we write about. When we review Turo, Zipcar, Uber, or Lyft, our analysis comes from actual trips, actual bookings, and actual costs — not secondhand summaries. If we haven't personally tested a service, we disclose that clearly in the article.
Primary sources. Pricing data comes directly from platform websites, help centers, and official documentation. We cite company-published rates, terms of service, and policy pages. We do not rely on other blogs as primary sources for factual claims.
Public data and reporting. For market-level claims (driver earnings, industry trends, safety statistics), we reference published research, regulatory filings, and verified news reporting. Every data point includes its source and date.
Our Fact-Checking Process
Before publication, every article is reviewed for:
Accuracy of pricing and cost data — All dollar figures are verified against the platform's current published rates. Dates are attached to all pricing claims so readers know how recent the data is.
Logical consistency — Cost comparisons, calculations, and recommendations are checked for mathematical accuracy and internal consistency.
Source verification — All external claims are traced back to a primary or reputable secondary source.
How We Handle Updates
The shared mobility industry changes frequently. Platforms adjust pricing, modify policies, and launch new features. We commit to:
Dated content. Every article displays a “last updated” date that reflects the most recent substantive review, not just a cosmetic edit.
Regular reviews. High-traffic articles covering pricing, platform comparisons, and “how it works” guides are reviewed quarterly for accuracy.
Correction transparency. If we publish something incorrect, we fix it promptly and note the correction at the top of the article. We do not silently edit factual errors.
Affiliate Disclosure
Some articles contain affiliate links to platforms we review. If you sign up through these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial judgment — we recommend services based on our honest assessment of their value, not their commission rates. Our full disclosure is available on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
